Futures Consulting, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Toronto, Canada.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop mechanical systems for commercial and institutional building projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC design, AutoCAD, and Revit, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
  • Perform system design calculations and load calculations.
  • Select equipment for use in building systems.
  • Incorporate sustainable design methods into building designs.
  • Prepare contract drawings and specifications.
  • Communicate with clients and project teams to establish project requirements and discuss design issues.
  • Manage small projects and work areas, and monitor quality of work.

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in commercial/institutional building projects.
  • 5+ years of experience designing HVAC systems for buildings.
  • Strong AutoCAD and Revit skills.
  • EIT or PE license highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, and ability to communicate technical ideas effectively.
