Theatre Practitioner Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Theatre Practitioner to join our team at the University of Ottawa. As a Theatre Practitioner, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the technical and production aspects of theatre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver curriculum in technical theatre, including set design, lighting, and sound.
- Provide hands-on training and mentorship to students in the use of technical theatre equipment and software.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement theatre productions.
- Contribute to the development of the theatre program at the University of Ottawa.
Requirements:
- Professional and practical knowledge of all aspects of technical theatre.
- Post-secondary teaching experience.
- Safety knowledge: shop safety, including use of power tools, first aid, certified in the basics of fall protection.
Additional Information:
The successful candidate will have a strong background in technical theatre and a passion for teaching and mentoring. They will be able to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the development of the theatre program at the University of Ottawa.
