The HR Professional plays a crucial role in managing the human resources functions within Baird & Associates. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at enhancing our workforce and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leadership in Hiring & Onboarding:
- Developing and executing a comprehensive recruitment strategy for the organization.
- Advertising job openings across various platforms, including our website and professional networks.
- Screening applicants through resume evaluations and initial interviews.
- Coordinating technical interviews with relevant teams.
- Facilitating discussions regarding compensation packages.
- Conducting thorough reference checks.
- Providing onboarding assistance to Regional Managers, including training coordination.
- Promoting and managing the employee referral program.
- Collaborating with external recruitment agencies when necessary.
- Monitoring recruitment trends and supporting diversity initiatives.
- Overseeing the internship program and its ongoing development.
- Benefits Administration: Collaborating on the management and evaluation of employee benefits programs, offering insights for enhancements based on market trends.
- Networking: Engaging in industry-related networking events to connect with top talent in the Coastal Engineering sector.
Additional Responsibilities
Additional duties may include:
- Compliance with Legislation: Assisting in the formulation and upkeep of HR policies that align with legal standards across multiple countries.
- Change Management: Supporting organizational change initiatives to foster positive outcomes.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, with additional HR experience considered beneficial.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines while managing multiple locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as a Human Resource Professional (CHRP).
- A robust network within the Engineering/Coastal/Marine sectors.
- Experience in organizations focused on architecture, engineering, or construction is advantageous.
