As a Senior Risk Consultant, you will be responsible for assessing and mitigating risks associated with our clients' operations, including property, liability, and business interruption risks. You will work closely with our underwriting partners to develop and implement risk control programs that meet the unique needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments of complex oil, gas, and energy operations to identify potential risks and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Develop and implement risk control programs that meet the needs of our clients and align with Zurich's risk management standards.
- Collaborate with our underwriting partners to ensure that risk assessments and risk control programs are aligned with our underwriting guidelines.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to our clients on risk management best practices and industry trends.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients and stakeholders to ensure that their risk management needs are met.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, business, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in risk management or a related field, with a strong background in the oil, gas, and energy sector.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop creative solutions to complex risk management challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Experience with risk management software and tools, such as risk assessment models and risk control programs.
We are looking for candidates with:
- A Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation or other relevant certifications.
- Experience working in a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in risk management, particularly in the oil, gas, and energy sector.
- Experience with account oversight and management, including developing and implementing risk control programs for large and complex clients.
