Job Title: Pharmacy Technical Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team at MyHealthCare Pharmacy. As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy operations and ensuring the smooth delivery of pharmaceutical products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compound, package, and label pharmaceutical products with precision and accuracy.
  • Assist with scheduling and workflow to optimize pharmacy operations.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies to ensure a clean and efficient work environment.
  • Reassemble equipment and assemble packs of sterile supplies and instruments for delivery to hospital departments.
  • Process claims for health insurance and workers' compensation.
  • Collect and analyze statistics to inform pharmacy operations.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including reception, telephone, and appointment scheduling.
  • Order supplies and equipment to maintain inventory levels.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Assist healthcare professionals with tasks and projects as needed.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience in a pharmacy or related field is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Our pharmacy operates in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and high pressure to meet deadlines. You must be able to work accurately and efficiently in this setting.
