Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Agriculture Foreman/Woman to join our team at Boem Berry Farm. As a key member of our farm operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our farm workers and ensuring the smooth operation of our farm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Farm Workers

Coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers to ensure efficient and effective farm operations.

Maintain Farm Safety and Bio-Security

Ensure that all farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed to prevent accidents and maintain a healthy work environment.

Quality Control and Record Keeping

Maintain quality control and production records to ensure that our farm products meet the highest standards.

Staff Management

Hire, train, and manage a team of farm workers to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

Farm Machinery and Equipment Maintenance

Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure that they are in good working condition.

General Farm Duties

Perform general farm duties as required, including planting, harvesting, and crop management.

Requirements
  • Education

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.

Work Experience

At least 1 year of experience in agriculture or a related field.

Work Environment

Fruit and vegetable combination farming in a hot environment.

Work Setting

Rural area.

Supervision

More than 20 people.

Physical Capabilities

Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Personal Suitability

Team player with excellent communication and leadership skills.
