About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Total Rewards Professional to join our team at Extendicare Canada Inc. as a Total Rewards Analyst- Contract. This is a 16-month contract opportunity located at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario, with flexibility based on our hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the team with administration, research, data analytics, and modeling to design, maintain, and improve our total rewards programs.
  • Gather and analyze total rewards data, complete cost modeling, and compile reports and documentation in preparation for collective bargaining negotiations.
  • Work with our service providers, facility leaders, and various teams to implement CBA changes related to total rewards.
  • Assist and provide support in the annual compensation cycle, including market research, creating and administering merit increase data files, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the compensation process.
  • Conduct and participate in total rewards surveys to support the ongoing development of our Total Rewards strategy, analyze results, and present data to show overall market trends and competitiveness.
  • Help develop and implement ongoing benefit projects.
  • Work closely with the Human Resources and Benefits Operations teams to answer inquiries related to our total rewards program and processes.
  • Provide advice and guidance to leaders, people managers, peers, and HR Business Partners in the interpretation and administration of the organization's total rewards programs and processes.
  • Act as a liaison for our total rewards programs with our vendors, HR Business Partners, people managers, and employees.
  • Provide ongoing support to the Workday team to ensure a successful Workday implementation.
  • Participate in projects and provide administrative support to the team, as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or Commerce with a focus in Finance.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Total Rewards or as an HR Analyst.
  • Professional designation (CCP, CEBS, or other equivalent designation in progress or completed) would be considered an asset.
  • Expert-level user of Excel (i.e., pivot tables, lookups, advanced formulas) and modeling with large and complex HR/Financial data sets.
  • Excellent financial acumen, including a basic understanding of financial terms and concepts.
  • Ability to collect and analyze big data to thoroughly think through problems and situations and provide recommendations and input on solutions, where applicable.
  • Commitment to data integrity and initiative in continuous learning and development.
  • Ability to think strategically about the bigger picture, anticipate future needs, and take initiative to increase efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Experience presenting information clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Solid knowledge of HRIS, preferably Workday.
