Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Closing the Gap Healthcare. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will work independently with pediatric and adult clients in school and home settings on a face-to-face basis.

About the Role:

This is a part-time position based in Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, and surrounding areas. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing assessments in a home setting based on presenting impairment or diagnosis using standardized assessment tools.

You will work with individuals with a wide variety of concerns, including clients recovering from stroke, other neurological problems, or congenital conditions, who are now having trouble with speaking, breathing, or swallowing.

You will design a care plan using evidence-based information, relevant best practice guidelines, and clinical expertise. You will also partner with our client's family members, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals regarding care goals and service plans.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of a recognized Post Secondary program in Speech Language Pathology
  • Current active registration in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
  • Must have a Valid Driver's License and the use of a reliable vehicle
  • Excellent communication and analytic skills, with strong organizational abilities
  • Experience providing home-based services is an asset, but new graduates are welcome
