Job Title: Flooring Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Specialist to join our team at Nufloors Fernie. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring products, including carpet, hardwood, and resilient flooring.

Work Setting

This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a valid driver's license and a willingness to relocate. You will be working in residential settings, installing flooring in various locations throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Install carpeting, hardwood, and resilient flooring
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct moisture and temperature tests prior to flooring installations
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 5 years or more of experience in the flooring industry
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and hand-eye coordination
  • Physically demanding work environment
