Position Overview
The Licensed Nursing Professional (LNP) is an essential contributor at Retirement Concepts and West Coast Seniors Housing Management. Reporting directly to the Director of Care, this position is responsible for evaluating resident requirements, revising care strategies, and administering necessary medications and treatments. The LNP plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality care while ensuring a secure environment for both residents and staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate the needs of residents and implement tailored care strategies
- Assist LPNs in revising care plans and providing clinical guidance
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols
- Oversee community wound care and facilitate referrals as needed
- Deliver direct care to residents, coordinate with various stakeholders, and participate in Care Conferences
- Uphold resident rights and maintain a secure environment
- Supervise care personnel, offer clinical direction, and engage in audits and staff assessments
- Participate in the orientation of new hires and educational initiatives
- Maintain precise documentation and adhere to confidentiality standards
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Perform additional related duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current BC license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred
- Valid First Aid and CPR certifications
- Experience in a long-term care setting is advantageous
- Proven teamwork and collaboration abilities
- Must successfully complete a vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check
- Proficient in English with basic computer skills
- Physically capable of performing required duties
