We are currently seeking a Cybersecurity Intern to be based in our office, reporting directly to the Regional Cybersecurity Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for a cooperative student to engage in projects aimed at identifying, safeguarding, detecting, and responding to emerging threats to our organization's data, applications, infrastructure, communication, and operational technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Automating incident response procedures for alerts generated by our security operations center.
• Collaborating with regional IT services to ensure comprehensive understanding and adherence to standards and policies.
• Overseeing policies, defining exceptions, providing support, and resolving issues related to security tools such as web proxies.
• Assisting in the development of our training and awareness program for all end users, emphasizing IT operational discipline and cybersecurity best practices.
• Assessing compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines across various cybersecurity and privacy domains.
• Documenting guidelines and procedural instructions specific to cybersecurity operations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Recent graduate or current master's student in computer security or a related discipline.
• Understanding of cybersecurity operations.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management.
• Knowledge of network security principles.
• Experience with secure software development lifecycle.
• Insight into web application and API security.
• Awareness of database security practices.
• Proficiency in Windows server security.
• Knowledge of identity and access management.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure and Microsoft 365).
• Understanding of operational technology and industrial control systems.
