Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lab Patient Technician to join our team at LifeLabs. As a key member of our laboratory services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our specimen collection process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and interact with patients in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the specimen collection process.
  • Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing, adhering to strict quality control and safety protocols.
  • Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and conduct ECG tracings as required.
  • Prepare and transport specimens to the laboratory for testing, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, specimen collection, and laboratory results.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy experience and excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and confidentiality.
