Job Title: Business Consultant

Kwantlen Polytechnic University is seeking a highly skilled Business Consultant to join our team. As a Business Consultant, you will be responsible for performing various audit and advisory engagements, including compliance audits, financial audits, information systems audits, investigative audits, operational audits, and consulting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform audit and advisory engagements to identify potential issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Coach and mentor Internal Audit Associates assigned to engagements.
  • Apply risk and control concepts to scenarios encountered and identify potential issues.
  • Communicate identified issues with the Manager, Business Performance & Advisory Services to ensure timely and effective resolution.
Requirements:
  • An accounting designation (e.g. CPA) is required.
  • A minimum of at least 1 year post-designation progressive experience with a focus on audit.
  • Experience working in internal audit and/or large complex organizations is desirable.
  • Knowledge of internal controls and risk management.
  • Superior capability in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook).
  • Experience working with Caseware is an asset.
