About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscape Supervisor to join our team at Lawn 'N' Order. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our outdoor spaces, ensuring they are well-maintained and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the planting of trees, gardens, and lawns, ensuring they are properly cared for and meet our high standards.
  • Hire, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Organize and direct the construction of decks, decorative or retaining walls, and other landscape features.
  • Plan and manage grounds maintenance, including labor and material estimates.
  • Resolve work problems by providing technical advice and recommending measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Maintain accurate work records and logs.
  • Tender and administer contracts for landscape construction work.
  • Read blueprints and drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
Requirements
  • Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA) certification.
  • Provincial license/certification to apply chemical fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, and pesticides.
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in outdoor conditions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
