Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Parliamentary Research Specialist to join our team at the Parliament of Canada. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Reference Services: Respond to reference requests from parliamentarians and their staff, providing accurate and concise information on various subjects.
  • Conduct Research Inquiries: Conduct in-depth searches using print and online sources to support legislative development, analyzing complex information and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with teams to respond to reference requests, sharing knowledge and expertise to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Library and Information Sciences: Possess a Master's degree in Library and Information Sciences or a related field.
  • Research Experience: Have experience in conducting in-depth searches using print and online sources, with a strong understanding of research methodologies and techniques.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
