The Therapeutic Foster Caregiving Program (TFC) is a unique opportunity for individuals to make a positive impact in the lives of youth.

As a Therapeutic Foster Caregiver, you will provide a stable and nurturing environment for a child or youth, working collaboratively with a professional team to address their individual needs.

You will receive comprehensive training and support, including 1:1 coaching, clinical consultations, and 24/7 on-call support.

The TFC program offers a competitive daily stipend, paid training, and the opportunity to gain valuable experience working with youth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing a safe and supportive environment for a child or youth
  • Collaborating with a professional team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development
  • Communicating effectively with the child/youth, family, and professional team

Requirements include:

  • Canadian citizenship or permanent residency
  • A stable income and suitable home environment
  • Ability to provide full-time care for a child/youth with complex needs
  • Prior experience working with youth is an asset
