Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a Backend Focus to contribute to Element Fleet Management, the foremost fleet management provider worldwide. If you are dedicated to delivering value and outstanding client service, you may be the ideal candidate.

The Senior Software Engineer with a Backend Focus will take charge of designing, developing, and maintaining web applications utilizing programming languages such as C# or Java, while ensuring high code quality and timely project completion in a collaborative environment.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Creating, developing, and sustaining web applications with contemporary technologies like Java/C#, Spring Boot, and React
  • Implementing user interface features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React
  • Establishing and managing microservices
  • Conducting various testing methods to uphold code quality
  • Enhancing performance, security, and scalability of projects
  • Contributing to a component library for a robust framework
  • Translating business needs into technical solutions
  • Leading a team of developers, performing code reviews, and mentoring junior staff
  • Collaborating with team leads, project managers, and stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a full stack developer
  • Proficiency in back-end programming and React integration
  • Familiarity with various tools and technologies such as Maven, Git, PostGres, and others
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and microservices development
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
