Job Summary:

The Radio Host/Hostess will be responsible for hosting various radio programs, including music, news, and entertainment shows. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for music, arts, and entertainment, and will be able to convey this enthusiasm to our listeners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Host and introduce music, videos, and other entertainment material for broadcast
  • Make commercial and public service announcements
  • Act as host/hostess or master of ceremonies, introducing and interviewing guests and conducting proceedings of shows or programs
  • Read news, sports, and weather for radio and television
  • Report on weather conditions using information provided by weather forecasting services
  • Report on traffic conditions by maintaining contact with external sources of information or by observing traffic from air or land vehicle
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 5 years or more of experience in a related field
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
