Key Responsibilities- Roofing Installation and Repair: Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools, ensuring a safe and secure working environment.
- Waterproof Coatings: Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level, adhering to industry standards.
- Scaffolding and Working Platforms: Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to facilitate safe access to roofs.
- Area of Specialization: Work with conventional and inverted built-up systems, modified roofing systems, and single-ply sheet membrane roofing systems.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Work Site Environment: Be prepared to work at heights, in noisy, dusty, and potentially hazardous conditions.
- Work Setting: Work in commercial, industrial, and residential settings, adapting to different environments.
- Tasks: Perform a variety of tasks, including repetitive work, handling heavy loads, and working under pressure.
- Security and Safety: Pass a criminal record check and maintain a safe working environment.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment, handling physically demanding tasks, and maintaining good hand-eye coordination.
- Weight Handling: Lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and work in a large workload environment.
- Experience: Have at least 1 year of experience in a related field.
