Theorem, LLC iOS Application Security Engineer Role

In the role of iOS Application Security Engineer at Theorem, LLC, you will play a crucial part in refining our scanning technology to systematically evaluate iOS applications and detect security and privacy vulnerabilities autonomously.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Collaborating with the mobile development team to create tools for static analysis of IPAs to reveal security vulnerabilities.
  2. Improving our dynamic analysis tools to observe mobile application behavior and identify actions that could lead to security threats.
  3. Working alongside Theorem's engineering team, which is distributed across various locations.
  4. Investigating and integrating new security checks to enhance our scanning technology and aid clients in developing more secure iOS applications.

We seek candidates who possess:

  • Extensive experience in developing iOS applications and related tools.
  • A solid understanding of the iOS runtime environment.
  • Some background in Python tool development.
  • Additional experience in analyzing iOS software, including knowledge of Objective-C runtime APIs and tools such as CydiaSubstrate and Frida, is a plus.
  • A background in software engineering is preferred, with no specific information security experience required.

Required qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in mobile technology.
