Position Overview

The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing daily activities within a retail environment. This position requires strong leadership skills to manage a team effectively and ensure operational excellence.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is mandatory.
Work Environment
  • Work is conducted primarily in a rural retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Delegate tasks to sales personnel to optimize productivity.
  • Authorize the return of merchandise as per company policy.
  • Engage in direct sales of products to customers.
  • Compile and analyze reports on sales performance, inventory management, and staffing issues.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and inventory shortages effectively.
  • Maintain and organize stock inventory to ensure availability.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members.
Team Management
  • Responsible for supervising a team of 11-15 employees, including cashiers, grocery clerks, shelf stockers, and retail sales associates.
Security and Compliance
  • Must be bondable and possess basic security clearance.
  • A criminal record check is required.
Work Conditions
  • Fast-paced work environment requiring the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while handling heavy loads.
  • Physical demands include a combination of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
