Job Title: Senior Systems Software Developer

BlackBerry QNX is a leading provider of safe and secure operating systems, hypervisors, frameworks, and development tools. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Software Developer to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented software developer to design, develop, and maintain software related to Command Line Tools, compilers, utilities, libraries, and more. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing software, a good appreciation of embedded software development and real-time operating systems, and experience with C++ development, Linux, and Windows-based development.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain software related to Command Line Tools, compilers, utilities, libraries, and more.
  • Identify and resolve complex software problems.
  • Strive for constant improvement in technical skills and in our team's development practices.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).
  • A passion for developing software.
  • A good appreciation of embedded software development and real-time operating systems.
  • Innovative attitude and creative problem solver.
  • Experience with some of the following is a plus: C++ development, familiarity with Linux- and Windows-based development.
