Key Responsibilities:
- Establish personalized communication with clients, fostering a trustworthy environment that facilitates the sale of insurance products. Provide education and guidance on our offerings while adhering to the underwriting guidelines.
- Identify and capitalize on all sales opportunities, including solicitations and product promotions.
- Collaborate with the agent to set and achieve marketing objectives.
- Utilize a customer-centric, needs-based approach to inform clients about insurance options.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and courteous customer service, addressing inquiries related to insurance availability, eligibility, coverage details, policy modifications, claims, and billing issues.
Essential Qualifications:
- Preferred sales experience.
- Proven history of achieving sales targets.
- Self-driven with strong leadership capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening abilities.
- Ability to connect with clients effectively.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to daily success.
- Team-oriented with the ability to multitask and pay attention to detail.
- Capability to present information to potential clients.
- Proficient understanding of technology and social media.
Required Licenses:
- Must be able to obtain a Property and Casualty license.
- Must be able to obtain a Life and Health license.
- Relevant product and sales experience is required.
- A college diploma in a related field is preferred.
- Two years of experience in the life insurance sector is advantageous.
This position is with an independent contractor agent affiliated with the Desjardins exclusive agent network. The employees of this agent are not employees of Desjardins Group or its subsidiaries. Independent contractor agents are responsible for all employment decisions regarding their staff.
