Position Overview
Tecsys Inc. is a rapidly expanding innovator in the supply chain sector, delivering cutting-edge solutions to leading healthcare organizations, hospitals, pharmacies, distributors, retailers, and third-party logistics providers. We partner with industry frontrunners to revolutionize their supply chains through technology.
We are seeking a Lead Reliability Engineer to join our Network and Security Operations Center team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the reliability and uptime of our platforms and applications, utilizing data-driven strategies to meet the needs of both internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with various Engineering teams to ensure services are ready for deployment through activities such as system design consultation, software platform development, capacity planning, and launch assessments.
- Maintain operational services post-launch by monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
- Develop automation tools on Azure and AWS to minimize manual interventions.
- Implement sustainable scaling of systems through automation and advocate for enhancements that boost reliability and efficiency.
- Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, and service level agreement (SLA) reporting mechanisms.
- Create and manage service monitoring dashboards that highlight key performance metrics.
- Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Support planning and deployment teams to ensure stability, predictability, and scalability as we grow.
- Work collaboratively with the Platform Engineering team to drive strategic initiatives, provide constructive feedback, and cultivate a cooperative atmosphere.
- Engage cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to manage our global expansion while maintaining high performance, availability, and reliability for our users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering, with proven expertise in new platform development, orchestration, product management, and iterative design and deployment.
- Experience in high-performance computing and the integration of compute, storage, and networking technologies to deliver cohesive infrastructure solutions.
- Strong understanding and practical experience in executing projects with full-stack automation.
- Ability to self-organize, collaborate, and manage efforts across diverse teams, languages, geographies, and time zones.
- Basic knowledge of Java or .Net development is required.
- Familiarity with GitLab (enterprise license preferred) or at least Jenkins is necessary.
- Experience in a SaaS environment is a significant advantage.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective interaction with customers, business partners, and colleagues.
