The CIBC Breast Assessment Centre is a multidisciplinary team that brings together expertise in radiology, pathology, surgery, medical radiation technology, ultrasound, nursing, and genetic counselling. Our centre provides rapid diagnostic evaluation to women who are symptomatic and/or have a screen-detected abnormality identified through routine breast screening or cancer surveillance screening.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate, perform, and evaluate diagnostic ultrasound examinations specific to breast assessment.
- Work directly with the Radiologist to provide optimum patient care and demonstrate a professional manner in the work setting.
- Develop and maintain effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills to work responsibly in a team environment.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and technologies.
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in breast ultrasound.
- Successful completion of the Breast (BR) specialty examination for the Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) or process of completing within a mutually agreed-upon timeline.
- Excellent problem recognition and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively and accurately, both autonomously and as an effective team member.
