Position Overview
The Software Applications Engineer collaborates closely with Senseability clients to promote the integration and utilization of our advanced software solutions in their library characterization and verification processes. This role merges technical expertise with exceptional communication skills, emphasizing the business advantages provided by Senseability's offerings.
The Applications Engineer oversees multiple client interactions simultaneously, necessitating strong relationship management capabilities. This engagement spans both engineering and managerial levels, requiring alignment with the account team to achieve and surpass performance targets. Responsibilities may include strategic account planning and devising solutions to client challenges, ultimately driving product revenue growth. Success in this role hinges on teamwork with sales, marketing, and research and development departments.
No prior experience in the semiconductor sector or as an Applications Engineer is mandatory. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided to equip you with the necessary domain knowledge. Familiarity with library characterization, Liberty data, SPICE simulation, or static timing analysis (STA) is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technology specialists at prominent semiconductor firms to comprehend their challenges and assist them in leveraging Senseability's Characterization Suite products to address those challenges.
- Demonstrate the value that Senseability delivers to clients by aiding them in evaluating our software; preparing and presenting software demonstrations and technical presentations; conducting benchmark assessments for clients.
- Execute pre-sales and post-sales technical initiatives, including evaluations of how our products align with client needs, drafting product specifications for the development and installation of tailored applications/solutions, and providing technical support for sales presentations and product demonstrations.
- Propel business for the Characterization Suite by utilizing technical knowledge and engaging directly with clients at appropriate management levels to establish criteria for successful collaborations.
- Support technical teams, including R&D, in establishing the value of our products and differentiating them from competitors.
- Work in close partnership with R&D to address client feedback and requests.
- Contribute to the technical sales strategy with management and maintain regular communication with peers and management regarding progress and account status.
Job Qualifications
- Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, or a related field, with a minimum average grade of 75% or equivalent in the undergraduate program.
- Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) and strong customer service orientation.
- Bonus: Proficiency in additional languages beyond English (Mandarin, French, Korean, Japanese, German, etc.).
- Ability to convey and present complex technical concepts in an accessible manner to diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the capacity to adapt and think critically.
- Proficient working in a Linux environment and with the Python programming language.
- Willingness to collaborate with clients across various global time zones.
- Availability and willingness to travel as required.
- Bonus: Experience with electronic design automation software, library characterization, static timing analysis, chip design, or machine learning.
