Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist

The Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of plant machinery through regular preventative upkeep and effective troubleshooting techniques.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on all operational and utility equipment to guarantee reliability and performance.
  • Diagnose and rectify issues with all machinery and support systems.
  • Utilize a computerized maintenance management system to log maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures, piping and instrumentation diagrams, work plans, and equipment manuals during maintenance tasks.
  • Comply with current cGMP, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain adherence to training program requirements.
  • Fulfill necessary maintenance qualifications.
  • Assist in the modification, installation, and commissioning of both new and existing equipment.

Additional Duties:

  • Acquire the essential knowledge and skills to effectively perform responsibilities in the designated area.
  • Maintain mechanical systems, including but not limited to: pumps, rotating machinery, piping, valves, and utility systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of various types of valves, pumps, piping, and systems commonly found in industrial settings.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats.
  • Capability to establish positive working relationships with cross-functional teams across different business units.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers, with experience in Windows applications and web-based programs.
  • Skill in reading, interpreting, and applying information from files, drawings, catalogs, reports, and manuals.
  • Strong mathematical abilities with the capacity to apply this knowledge to assigned tasks.
  • Awareness of current good manufacturing practices.
  • Understanding of safety protocols relevant to industrial environments.
  • DEP or DEC in a pertinent technical discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
