Position Overview: Advisor for Paramedic Culture and Well-Being
Employment Type: Contract Full-Time; Duration: 24 Months
Salary Range: $100,172 - $125,213 per annum, plus comprehensive benefits
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 2 to 3 days in the office per week
Role Summary:
In this role, you will be tasked with the advisory and strategic planning aspects of Well-Being Programs aimed at enhancing the psychological and physical health of Paramedic Services personnel. Your expertise will guide the identification of needs and the development, coordination, and delivery of specialized training and educational programs that promote resilience and preventive measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic planning and implementation of Psychological Well-Being Programs for Paramedic Services.
- Develop and recommend practices and strategies for psychological health and safety.
- Conduct assessments and surveys to evaluate psychological health needs.
- Ensure compliance with legislation related to work-related post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
- Assist in the creation of annual business/work plans and staffing proposals.
- Manage team budget and expenses effectively.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders including management, Human Resources, and external agencies.
- Establish and lead committees and special projects related to well-being initiatives.
Qualifications:
- A University Degree in Health Sciences, Psychology, or a related field.
- At least five years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work outside regular business hours as necessary.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
Skills and Competencies:
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

- Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations for Paramedic Services.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
