We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dining Room Supervisor to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and oversight to all dining room activities
- Outline work assignments and supervise, direct, and evaluate the work of the team
- Assist in the full recruitment process for new members of the team
- Ensure new team members are oriented and trained on all departmental standards
- Prepare and monitor plans to ensure employees are meeting standards for mandatory annual education
- Provide ongoing training and education
- Manage the professional development of the team
- In consultation with Human Resources, manage team member issues
- Monitor and manage performance and provide coaching
- Complete performance and development discussions for team members
- Ensure disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to company policy
- Hold regular departmental meetings and team talks
- Review work schedules to identify any concerns with staffing levels
- Take every reasonable precaution in all circumstances to ensure the health and safety of team members and all others in the workplace
About You
We are looking for a candidate with a high school diploma or equivalent education, a minimum of two years' experience in the food and beverage service industry, and previous supervisory experience in hospitality or healthcare foodservice. You should have a strong understanding of food safety and be able to provide leadership and guidance to the team.
