About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at VG Meats. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for cutting and preparing meats for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Meat Cutting and Preparation**: Cut and trim meats to prepare for processing or cutting, and prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers.
  • **Meat Handling and Storage**: Handle and store meats in a clean and safe manner, ensuring that all products are properly labeled and stored.
  • **Customer Service**: Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and making recommendations to customers about our meat products.
  • **Teamwork**: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales and customer service goals.
  • **Equipment Operation**: Operate meat cutting equipment, such as band saws and manual cutting utensils, safely and efficiently.
Requirements
  • **Education**: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • **Experience**: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail meat cutting environment.
  • **Language**: English.
  • **Availability**: Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment.
