About the Role:

Canada Post is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Postal Clerk to join our team. As a Postal Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing mail and packages, and maintaining a high level of postal products and services knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to customers in a retail environment
  • Process mail and packages using a computer point of sale system
  • Maintain floor displays and conduct merchandizing and inventory control
  • Process financial transactions, including cash, cheques, debit and credit card payments
  • Receive, sort, sequence and batch mail items
  • Operate mail processing equipment and transport mail between floors/sections
  • Review mail items for address accuracy and proper postage

Requirements:

  • Experience in customer service in a retail environment
  • Sales experience is an asset
  • Experience working in a production environment is an asset

Working Conditions:

This position may be considered a Safety Sensitive position and has additional requirements under Canada Post's Substance Use Policy.
