Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Produce Clerk to join our team at Dawson City General Store Ltd. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for ensuring our customers receive excellent service and high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their produce needs, answering questions, and making recommendations.
  • Inventory Management: Receive and stock produce shipments, rotate stock to ensure freshness, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Stockroom Operations: Unpack and count produce shipments, and restock shelves and display areas.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe working environment by sweeping, mopping floors, and performing other general cleaning duties.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
  • Work Setting: Produce department, department store, supermarket/grocery store
  • Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods, walking, and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, flexibility, organized, reliability, and team player
