About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Consultant to join our team. As a Data Consultant, you will be responsible for developing, designing, and maintaining cloud data infrastructures that meet our clients' needs. You will have a strong foundation in implementing data solutions and experience in modern data technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop end-to-end data-centric solutions to address our customers' core business objectives.
  2. Collaborate with business systems analysts to understand business requirements and optimize data pipeline performance.
  3. Build solutions leveraging big data and data management tools to meet project requirements.
  4. Construct code with good coding standards and practices to ensure high quality and minimum risks.
  5. Closely work with project managers and technical leads to provide regular status reporting and support them to identify blockers for quick resolution.
Requirements
  1. A bachelor's degree or college program, preferably in computer science or mathematics.
  2. Bilingual (English and French) with effective written and spoken skills in both languages.
  3. Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and maintaining data pipelines, data transformation, and data modeling.
  4. Experience in architecting and building scalable data platforms.
  5. Experience with one of the leading cloud service providers (Azure, AWS, Google, Oracle, Informatica) or experience with open-source technologies (Spark, Kafka, Presto, Hive, Cassandra, etc.).
  6. Experience with SQL and/or NOSQL databases.
  7. Experience with two of three - Java, Scala, and Python programming languages.
Bonus Points
  1. Production implementation experience for all qualifications listed.
  2. Production experience in building real-time analytics applications.
  3. Experience in both batch and stream processing technologies.
  4. Machine learning experience with Spark or similar.
  5. Certified Data or Solution Architect in one or more Cloud Technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  6. Ability to manage numerous requests concurrently and be able to prioritize and deliver.
  7. Effective communication skills.
