About the role

Your responsibilities as a Lead Software Engineer:

  • Develop, test, and maintain web software applications and internal tools.
  • Assess requirements and determine optimal approaches to meet or even enhance them; innovative ideas are encouraged.
  • Take initiative by identifying and addressing areas of technical concern.
  • Guide your colleagues and participate in code reviews, while also being open to mentorship on new topics.
  • Collaborate across teams to continuously refine our processes.
  • Advocate for the use of design patterns and best practices.
  • Engage in Agile ceremonies for prioritization, understanding, and estimation.
  • Support the enhancement of our Agile practices through Retrospectives.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma from an accredited institution.
  • At least 6 years of experience in a professional software development role.
  • Experience in supporting and mentoring junior to intermediate developers.
Must Have Skills:
  • Proficiency in SQL authoring and optimization.
  • Ability to articulate technical details and develop functional requirements.
  • Familiarity with source control software.
  • Capacity to maintain focus on priorities and deliver solutions that meet requirements.
  • Experience in enhancing existing code efficiencies for large datasets and high volumes.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Ruby & Ruby on Rails (highly preferred).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce integration.
  • Exposure to AWS tools & services.
