Job Title: Architectural Draftsperson

We are seeking a skilled Architectural Draftsperson to join our team at Intelligent Engineering Design Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, developing and preparing design sketches, and preparing construction specifications, costs, and material estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Develop and prepare design sketches to visualize and communicate design ideas.
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Write technical reports to document project progress and outcomes.
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure accurate project planning.
  • Complete documentation packages and drawing sets to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Examine drawings for conformity and errors to ensure quality and accuracy.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment with 30 to 35 hours per week.
  • English as the primary language of work.
