About the Role:As a Senior Procurement Manager at CBRE, you will oversee a dedicated team responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing service providers for outsourced services. Your role will involve collaborating with various clients and departments to develop and implement intricate sourcing and procurement strategies.
This position is integral to the Procurement function, which focuses on acquiring goods, services, or raw materials from vendors and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and supervision to team members. Monitor their training and development, conduct performance evaluations, and offer coaching. Oversee the recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
- Coordinate daily operations of the team. Establish work schedules, assign responsibilities, and facilitate cross-training among staff. Set and monitor departmental deadlines.
- Assist in formulating company-wide policies, procedures, and organizational materials.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and executive sponsors to develop and execute strategies at local, regional, and global levels.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain contracts and business documents for the procurement of substantial quantities of goods and services.
- Manage the processes related to contract terminations, expirations, extensions, and renewals, keeping peers and management informed of any changes.
- Oversee the supplier and contractor certification process, conducting periodic assessments of vendor performance.
- Educate team members on contemporary outsourcing practices and their value. Manage expectations across diverse skill sets and cultures.
- Review all Requests for Tender (RTFs), select solutions, and approve contracts with service providers, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Act as a primary contact for utilization management and coordination with external procurement solutions.
- Model behaviors aligned with CBRE RISE values and influence others to adopt innovative perspectives while adhering to policies.
- Utilize a comprehensive understanding of the business and its integration with other disciplines to achieve departmental objectives.
- Identify and resolve complex technical and operational challenges.
- Enhance existing methods, processes, and standards within the procurement discipline.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Qualifications:- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, accompanied by 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. C.P.M., C.P.S.M., or N.A.C.M. certifications or eligibility are required.
- Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, and performance management is preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate sensitive and complex information, set performance expectations, and address challenges.
- Leadership skills to motivate team members and enhance the quality and efficiency of departmental operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.
- Advanced mathematical skills, with the ability to perform complex financial calculations.
Compensation Transparency:
CBRE takes into account various factors when determining compensation, including education, training, and experience. The salary range for the Senior Procurement Manager position is between $130,000 and $150,000 annually. The final compensation will depend on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
