About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Nanoose Bay Cafe. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Bed Making and Linen Management: Make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, and stock linen closets.
  • Kitchen and Bathroom Cleaning: Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Lost and Found: Handle and report lost and found items.
  • Guest Services: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, provide basic information on facilities, and pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Laundry and Window Cleaning: Launder clothing and household linens, and wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
  • Changing Rooms and Showers: Clean changing rooms and showers.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns.
Work Environment

As a Housekeeping Assistant at Nanoose Bay Cafe, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work under pressure. The role requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
