About the Role

Punjab Trucking Corp is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Delivery: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Route Optimization: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, providing exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, performing preventive maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Logistics and Administration: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques, receive and relay information to central dispatch, and participate in a team environment to achieve company goals.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions.
