Position Overview: The Endoscope Technician is responsible for ensuring the safety and functionality of Olympus products through adherence to established protocols. Reporting to the Manager, the technician will evaluate, troubleshoot, disassemble, assemble, repair, and inspect endoscopes to meet Olympus's high standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct inspections and assessments of customer products for repairs, focusing on both minor and major repairs of endoscopes.
- Acquire advanced repair techniques for specific endoscope models, excluding Ultrasound and Small Fiber Diameter endoscopes.
- Utilize various hand tools and testing equipment to perform repairs and facilitate the disassembly and reassembly of products.
- Maintain accurate service records electronically and manually, ensuring confidentiality.
- Adhere to safety guidelines established by Olympus to promote a safe working environment.
- Keep the workspace organized and clean at all times.
- Participate in quality systems and improvement programs as directed by management.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of three years of experience in endoscope repairs, preferably within the healthcare sector.
- At least one year of experience in the inspection and estimation of endoscope repairs.
Preferred:
- Proven skills in disassembly, assembly, and quality inspection in precision repair activities.
- Manual dexterity with small hand tools and familiarity with testing equipment.
- Ability to complete necessary technical training and demonstrate proficiency.
Health Considerations: Hepatitis B vaccination is recommended for employees at risk of exposure to blood or bodily fluids.
