Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Hairstylist to join our team at RUPY'S HAIR AND SKIN STUDIO. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hair care and styling, demonstrating both creativity and technical proficiency.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in a hairstyling role
Work Environment

The position is based in a non-smoking barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio, where you will work in a fast-paced atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and manage client appointments
  • Execute haircuts and trims according to client specifications
  • Shampoo and condition clients' hair
  • Provide beard and mustache grooming services
  • Administer various hair treatments, including waving, straightening, and tinting
  • Apply hair color, bleach, or highlights as needed
  • Install hair extensions
  • Style hair using a variety of techniques, including curling, waving, and perming
  • Advise clients on suitable hairstyles based on their features
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as necessary
Supervision

May oversee 1 to 2 junior staff members.

Technical Skills
  • Proficient in blow drying, hair braiding, and various styling techniques
  • Experienced in hair coloring methods, including streaking and highlights
Transportation

Public transportation options are readily available.
