POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Finance Division of Société Générale is a worldwide entity with a localized approach, delivering a consistent suite of services through streamlined processes and standardized practices, utilizing production hubs. The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team is the exclusive source of insightful financial reports and evaluations to support the management of financial performance across the Americas. In this capacity, FP&A consolidates financial data for management reporting, oversees the Budget process for the Americas, prepares forecasts, conducts financial trend analysis, certifies costs, contributes to monthly closings, ensures compliance with performance management standards, and analyzes and presents financial performance to senior management.

Key Responsibilities in the Americas:

  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and dashboards for GBIS.
  • Support management and all Business Lines with actionable financial performance reports and forecasts.
  • Facilitate financial communication and present forecasts and trends effectively.
  • Coordinate the Budget process for the Americas and assist in forecasting activities.

DAILY TASKS:

  • Develop and deliver actionable reports and analyses to aid management in financial decision-making.
  • Act as the primary contact for all financial aggregates with regional and local management in Canada, driving local performance analysis.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team in New York, along with the Accounts Payables team and legal entity controllers in Canada, to ensure high-quality report production and data input for FP&A processes.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial management reports, including gap analyses of Budget trajectories against prior years, forecasts, and strategic plans to business partners.
  • Conduct financial reporting, providing variance analysis of actuals to budget, coordinating the Forecast exercise, and offering insights on key cost drivers while explaining monthly results to key stakeholders.
  • Present monthly results and cost trends to relevant business lines.
  • Manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines, effectively organizing and prioritizing responsibilities.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

  • Proficient in Accounting, Budgeting, Forecasting, Reporting, and Data Management.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks and adapting to a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
  • Advanced system skills and knowledge in Financial Modelling, PowerBI Report Creation, Data Management, Power Query Data manipulation, and Alteryx.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Exhibit an energetic and determined attitude.
  • Willingness to engage with diverse cultures.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT:

Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential as this role involves regular collaboration with colleagues and partners in the United States.
