Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Clinic Drug Store. This position is temporary and requires a commitment of 30 to 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify the accuracy of prescription information.
  • Input client data into relevant databases.
  • Prepare and dispense medications to clients.
  • Process billing for third-party insurers.
  • Compound various pharmaceutical forms, including oral solutions and ointments.
  • Maintain accurate inventories of medications and prescription records.
  • Schedule and confirm client appointments.
  • Address work-related issues and provide technical guidance to enhance productivity.
  • Record and balance daily financial transactions.
  • Handle claims and purchase transactions.
  • Perform routine clerical tasks.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial dealings.
  • Review prescriptions for correct dosages.
  • Inspect final products for proper labeling and packaging.
  • Confirm the completeness and accuracy of gathered information.
  • Manage daily transaction balances.
  • Answer and relay telephone communications.
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Administer immunization programs as required.
  • Maintain knowledge of licensing regulations.
  • Conduct clerical duties such as faxing and filing.
  • Process various payment methods, including cash and credit cards.
  • Uphold a clean and safe working environment.
  • Maintain and organize workspace effectively.
  • Verify receipts and packing slips.
  • Handle cash transactions responsibly.
  • Modify existing computer programs as necessary.
  • Gather information through interviews and observations.
  • Provide first aid in emergencies.
  • Keep sales records for inventory management.
Supervision

This role may involve supervising 1 to 2 individuals.

Qualifications
  • Completion of a college or CEGEP program in pharmacy technology (1 to 2 years).
  • 2 to less than 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of liability insurance and prescription drugs.
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check and immunization records.
Work Environment

The position requires:
