Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Discovery Kids Childcare INC. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young children.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. You will work closely with our experienced team to develop and implement engaging programs that cater to the diverse needs of our children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
  • Establish guidelines for behavior.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
Requirements:
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification.
  • Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Criminal Record Check.
  • Child Abuse Registry Check.
  • Child Welfare Check.
  • Vulnerable Sector Check.
