About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hydroponics Grower to join our team at Mucci Farms. As a key member of our greenhouse operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the growth and production of a variety of crops, including cucumbers, greenhouse tomatoes, and greenhouse vegetables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crop Management: Determine the type and quantity of stock to grow, establish and maintain the required environment, and control reported insect, disease, and weed problems.
  • Staff Supervision: Hire, train, and supervise staff in planting, transplanting, feeding, and spraying.
  • Inventory Management: Order materials and stock as needed.
  • Work Scheduling: Establish work schedules to ensure efficient operations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise a team of more than 20 people.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in greenhouse hydroponics or a related field.
  • Work Environment: Cold/refrigerated and hot environments.
  • Work Setting: Greenhouse.
  • Transportation: Own transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, and ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, initiative, and a team player attitude.
