Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Director to lead our Platform Networking team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing engineering activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving innovation in plant design and construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Oversee the day-to-day engineering operations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to management roles and senior professional staff executing commercial and internal work packages and projects.
  • Manage the design, development, and implementation of projects, ensuring all engineering activities comply with regulatory and industry standards and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including internal organizations, clients, sub-contractors, constructors, and operators, to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the nuclear, petrochemical, chemical processing, or power generation industries, with a focus on engineering and project management.
  • Experience or knowledge in hydrogen or heavy water production is considered a plus.
  • Experience or understanding of the regulatory processes with the Impact Assessment Agency and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission is considered a plus.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented self-starter with strong engineering and people management skills and experience.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams and large-scale projects.
  • Broad understanding of SMRs and CANDU technologies and regulatory requirements is considered a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator with superior interpersonal and relationship management skills.
