Job Summary

HB Restaurant Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our restaurant operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Establish methods to meet work schedules, including creating and managing schedules, and ensuring that staff are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Manage Budget and Cost Estimates: Prepare budget and cost estimates, and ensure that expenses are managed effectively to meet business needs.
  • Address Customer Concerns: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, and work to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.
  • Supervise Delivery of Food Trolleys: Supervise and check the delivery of food trolleys to ensure that food is delivered to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment with fast-paced and dynamic conditions.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
