The Team:

The Global Security Team plays a crucial role in safeguarding the people, assets, and reputation of Mattel. The Opportunity:

We are looking for a motivated, passionate, and detail-oriented Security Officer with a background in the security sector to help protect Mattel's workforce, visitors, products, and brand integrity. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with outstanding communication skills and the ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Physical Security

Uphold the best practices established by the Mattel Global Security Department, ensuring the protection of physical properties, assets, and personnel from theft, damage, and unlawful activities. Execute security duties and related tasks as outlined in the Contingency Operations and Standard Operating Procedures manuals under the guidance of the Security Leader/Shift Supervisor. Perform administrative data entry tasks as directed by post orders standards. Manage traffic control, visitor registration, and assist suppliers, contractors, and delivery personnel. Conduct mobile and foot patrols to monitor the premises for security and facility-related issues. Oversee the access control system, CCTV system, and the management system. Support initiatives related to intellectual property. Deliver exceptional customer service to all Mattel employees, vendors, and visitors on site.

Safety Responsibilities

Monitor the fire control panel for alarms and equipment issues, reporting any maintenance needs. Contact the Security Supervisor and/or Facilities personnel during emergencies or security incidents, completing necessary Incident Reports. Conduct monthly safety inspections, including checks on fire extinguishers and AEDs.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs, and overtime may be required on short notice.

Qualifications:

Bilingual proficiency in French and English. A minimum of one year of experience in Security, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, Law Enforcement, or military service is preferred. High school diploma or GED is required. A valid driver's license is necessary. A valid Security Guard License is required. Certification in First Aid, CPR, and Blood-borne Pathogens is required, or the willingness to obtain certification through training provided by Mattel. Availability to work varying shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends. Ability to read and interpret general business policies and regulations. Capability to stand, walk, and lift/move up to 50 pounds. Proficiency in using post-security equipment. A demonstrated growth mindset through continuous learning and improvement.
