About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bakery Production Manager to join our team at Bennetts Bakery & Deli. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recipe Development: Create and implement new recipes for our baked goods, taking into account customer preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Production Planning: Plan and coordinate the production schedule to meet customer demand, ensuring that all products are delivered on time and to the required quality standard.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train a team of bakers and production staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all products meet our high standards, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to ensure that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand, while minimizing waste and excess stock.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure that it is in good working order, and report any issues to the maintenance team.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or production environment.
  • Work Setting: Staff accommodation available.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods.
