About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Communication Network Specialist to join our team at Sibwest Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Cable Signals: Ensure the integrity of our communication network by inspecting and testing cable signals and associated equipment.
  • Install and Maintain Equipment: Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, ensuring seamless communication services.
  • Read Blueprints and Determine Work Requirements: Analyze blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure efficient completion of tasks.
  • Repair Cable Signals: Troubleshoot and repair cable signals to minimize downtime and ensure optimal network performance.
  • Complete and Maintain Reports: Accurately complete and maintain test and service reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work at Heights: Safely climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures to access and maintain equipment.
  • Wire Splicing and Connection: Splice, join, and connect wires to ensure reliable communication services.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Outdoors, with regular exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week, with regular working hours.
