About the Role

Akhira Trucking INC is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform regular checks on trucks to ensure they are in good working condition, including brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
  • Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with dispatch teams to plan and execute routes, taking into account factors such as traffic, weather, and road conditions.
  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, ensuring they are properly secured and protected during transit.
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Coach colleagues on new methods and work techniques to improve overall efficiency and productivity.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and laws, including those related to hazardous materials and driver hours.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks), and Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles).
  • Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver, preferably in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying weather conditions.
